The company launched a new Text to speech API called Audio API with six preset voices: Alloy, Echo, Fable, Onyx, Nova and Shimer. The API provides access to two generative AI models and is priced at $0,015 per 1.000 characters of input.
OpenAI also announced a new program called Copyright Shield at its developer conference, which promises to protect companies that use the AI company's products from copyright claims. The company said it will pay legal fees if customers using the "generally available" OpenAI development platform and ChatGPT Enterprise face intellectual property lawsuits against content created by OpenAI tools.
Recently, companies such as Microsoft, Google-backed Cohere, Amazon and IBM have announced that they will compensate customers for intellectual property infringement claims.
