Twitter for Professionals has arrived

Twitter constantly launching new products. One of its latest launches is that if the organization has a company account or is a public figure, it can have a «professional account«. Companies and creators can choose to “professional accounts“, which offers additional tools to distinguish the profile, promote content quickly through ads and capitalize on future e-commerce efforts of Twitter.

Twitter classify anyone who uses it for work as a pro: to qualify for a pro account, users must have no history of violating the terms of use and must be authentic, with an account name, bio, and photo Profile. That means no fictional characters, parody accounts, or pet accounts are allowed.

Not all users have the ability to switch to a professional account yet. But when it becomes available, users will be able to find a Twitter for professionals tab by swiping the sidebar from the Home timeline in the app to open it.

A tab will also appear «Switch to professional» in the profile settings. You will then be able to select the most accurate category to frame the organization and a business or creator account type.

Once you have converted to a professional account, you will be required to follow topics on Twitter, promote a tweet in an ad campaign or customize your profile with modules. If the user finally decides that they are more of an amateur tweeter than a professional, it is possible to change the account again by navigating to edit the profile, edit the professional profile and then change the type of account.
