Sam Altman backs AI startup that automates browser flows

Sam Altman, Peak work in previously unexplored ways.

induced.ai Founded this year, it allows companies to enter their workflows in plain English and then convert the instructions into pseudocode in real time for numerous repetitive tasks typically handled by back-office departments.

The platform of the same name launches Chromium-based browser instances and uses its technology to read on-screen content and control the browser in a human-like manner to complete various steps of a workflow. This allows browser instances to interact with websites even if they don't have an API, Aryan Sharma, co-founder and CEO of Induced AI, showed in a demo.

Zapier is among the companies pioneering the API integration economy, connecting disparate applications and offering businesses a path to automated workflows and efficient. The platform's use of automated workflows provided companies with a mechanism to optimize operations and innovate, all without requiring a deep understanding of technical processes. Sharma, 18, co-founder of the startup with Ayush Pathak, 19, is betting that induced AI can build an integration economy for native browser workflows.

Workflows can be complex, logic-based processes, including two-factor authentication dialogs. Induced AI applies a two-way interaction system, allowing human involvement in certain steps as needed, while managing the rest autonomously, Sharma said.

“We have specifically built a browser environment on top of Chromium that is designed for autonomous workflow executions. It has its own memory, file system, and authentication credentials (email, phone number) to perform complex flows. As far as I know, we are the first to adopt this approach of redesigning the browser for the use of native AI agents. Therefore, complex logins, 2fa (we auto-fill SMS/authentication codes), file downloads, data storage and reuse are possible that other autonomous agents cannot do,” Sharma said.

Unlike existing models, where a person trying to program such instructions can spend hours on tasks such as tagging all HTML elements, Induced AI induced the need for manual tagging. Your system can discern the necessary information from the English instructions and dynamically adjust them as needed to make adjustments.

Induced AI is certainly not alone. Several similar modern robotic process automation concepts have been seen floating around X and Hacker News in recent months. But Sharma highlighted several factors that differentiate induced AI from others. Induced AI can perform multiple tasks simultaneously and is completely remote, he said as examples.

The startup, which currently has just five members, has signed up a few small and medium-sized clients in recent weeks, including a sales company that uses Induced AI for employee onboarding, and is working on many new use cases.

Induced AI said on Tuesday that it has raised $2,3 million in its seed funding round and its investors include SignalFire, Untitled Ventures, SV Angel, Superscrypt, Balaji Srinivasan, Julian Weisser, IDEO Colab and Ondeck.

“Induced is the definition of RPA 3.0. “Not only are they taking a big step forward by providing true human interaction and efficiency, but they are also democratizing access by allowing users to describe their workflows in natural language and run parallel agents in any administrative workflow,” said Elaine Signalfire's Zelby in a statement.
