Threader: Twitter wants to make the experience easier for its users

Twitter announced the purchase of Threader, an app that allows people to link Twitter conversations and share their favorites, making it easy to help people find long conversations on the platform. When users reply to one of these long conversations, they tag the profile in Threader and type the word "compile", the bot Threader creates a link that presents the conversation in an easier-to-read article-like format.

“We detected that there is great content shared by people in Twitter I lowered the 280-character limit in order to express longer reflections, but they were hard to find and even harder to read. We feel the desire to highlight these great stories and insights shared on the platform," he wrote. Threader.

Twitter previously introduced its subscription service, TwitterBlue in the United States and New Zealand, offering features that enhance the user experience of the platform. One of these features is the Reader mode, which works similarly to the app

“We detected that there is great content shared by people in Twitter I lowered the 280-character limit in order to express longer reflections, but they were hard to find and even harder to read. We feel the desire to highlight these great stories and insights shared on the platform," he wrote. Threader, displaying a conversation in a more engaging format. Twitter said that Marie Denis, co-founder of Threader, helped build the Reader feature, though Twitter didn't integrate any of the products Threader Real on your own platform.

Terms of the acquisition are not disclosed, Marie Denis will join Longform's team of Twitter, working on features like Reader and other similar products. Threader will be shutting down shortly as part of the acquisition, so if fans of the app want to keep the reading experience of Threader, they will have to join Twitter Blue for $2.99 per month.

This is just one of several acquisitions that Twitter has recently made; the most important were Revue, a newsletter platform, Breaker, which laid the foundation for Twitter Spaces y Sphere, a group chat app.
