Generally, the diagnosis of the digital transformation process is usually based on an inventory of existing initiatives or tools, to which is added the portfolio of technology requests.
The end result of such an exercise is a technology plan, including technological evolution.
Technology, being a key lever, is still a means to achieve transformation. But the sum of technology does not achieve the final result.
Therefore, at the beginning of the process, when establishing the strategy, it is very helpful to carry out a diagnosis, that is, a study prior to any planning that collects and deals with the relevant information on the company, the market and future trends. in order to understand the scope, thus identify the weaknesses and strengths present in the organization.
That is, knowing the “what”, the “why” and the “with whom”. In addition, all this must be expressed in a concrete and tangible way to the entire organization in order to align all the elements in the common goal.
This diagnosis, in addition, must be visited periodically, analyzing its suitability and the deviations that can be applied in the final strategy. These deviations, in a changing market, must be assumed and the final objective adjusted according to the new habits of society and customers.
Many executives feel that they have a big puzzle to complete, and they have many pieces but they don't know if they have them all.
Therefore they do not have the final photo of the Digital Transformation process

what do we want to achieve
- What is the long term goal
- What are the intermediate objectives
- What needs to be done first
- what knowledge is needed
- What elements are necessary to be connected or linked
- What profiles and skills are needed for this job
Why do we want to transform ourselves and who else do we need?
- Why do we perceive the need to transform ourselves?
- Who can validate said need
- Who do we need to involve?
- Who do we have and what capabilities do they have?
- What other capacities do we need and from whom?
- Who can connect all the elements
Who can help us with the “what”
- Who can help with brainstorming
- How we attract several united “experts” and information
- How is the customer involved?
- Who does what. Who leads each initiative
- The right external partners are involved
- Who can help with barriers and silos built
- What ecosystems can increase our results
- Who validates the strategy, means and KPIs to achieve the "what"
Do you consider that there are more key issues for diagnosis at a strategic level? What are keys?
