Contra partners with TikTok to add professional value

Contra, a career network for freelancers, has partnered with TikTok to allow users to showcase their resumes and clients on Tik Tok Jump, the social networking service's third-party integration tool. The new partnership will allow creators to link their profile to Contra to your TikTok videos to showcase your work or services.

With this new integration, creators can now add the link 'See my services' to your TikTok content. Visitors will be able to view the profile of Contra of the supplier, consult their services and also send a request or extension of information.

With this agreement Contra It makes it easy to share the professional offer and obtain new potential clients. It plans to launch another Jump integration that will allow companies that are hiring to post TikTok content with a link to apply directly to the visitor's Contra profile. The company says the partnership allows freelancers to replace their traditional resume with more engaging methods of presenting their jobs.

"TikTok has become one of the top places for people to get career advice and discover new roles, so it makes sense that creators can showcase their professional work on the platform as well," said TikTok founder and CEO. Contra Ben Huffmann.

At the beginning of this year, Contra raised a $14.5 million Series A led by Unusual Ventures, with participation from Cowboy Ventures and Atelier Ventures, recently announced by Li Jin. The platform wants professionals to create profiles that display project-based identities, rather than a LinkedIn-style role-based identity. The objective of Contra is to help self-employed workers to create professional reference networks to find new opportunities. Unlike LinkedIn, where you can add anyone you know and become a "connection," Contra requires that there be work experience with the network of each professional.

The company's partnership with TikTok allows it to reach more millennial and Gen Z users and potentially help them find new opportunities. Since the launch of TikTok Jump in June, the social media giant has partnered with many companies like Quizlet, Wikipedia, Buzzfeed, and Jumprope, to allow them to create their own integrations within the app.
